Geo-what!?

Geocaching is a new concept to Library Ninja. After reading about it and how it works it certainly makes sense and sounds like it could be a lot of fun.

Library Ninja was especially bemused to read about the pitfalls of geocaching – like having the police stop you on grounds of suspicious behaviour, being accused of littering and having the bomb squad blow up your precious cache!

On the plus side, it gets people to interact with technology and get out and about. And Library Ninja likes any technology that gets people away from their desk and computer screen.

Whilst it would be great to implement some form of geocaching activity run by the library, Library Ninja feels that the concept here is still a few years ahead of it's time – with many people still using non-GPS equipped phones.

Therefore until the masses catch up, Library Ninja thinks more low-tech initiatives like a good ol' fashion treasure hunt could be more appropriate for now.
